- 1 bag Frozen Tater Tots
- 3/4 cup Hoisin Sauce
- 1/4 cup Chili Crisp To taste
- 1/4 cup Rice Vinegar
- 1 tbsp Szechuan Pepper Oil https://www.roguechef.com/?p=3937
- 1/4 Cup Stock Chicken or Veggie
- 2 tbsp Grated Ginger
- 1 tbsp Minced Garlic
- Salt and Pepper To Taste
Sauce
Add hoisin, chile sauce, pepper oil, rice vinegar, stock, ginger, garlic, sesame oil, salt & pepper to a saucepan.
Bring to a slight simmer and stir until thickened; about 5 to 7 minutes.
Taste, Season and Balance Flavor
Assembly
Once the tots are cooked, remove from oven and place into a large bowl.
Pour the sauce over the tots and gently toss
Garnish as desired, and serve
A quick and dirty snack for a lazy day.
One can mix up the sauce, maybe go with a western bbq sauce, or smother the tots with chili, onions, and cheese and bake once more to melt the cheese.
