Ingredients
  

Fritters
  • 200 grams Ap Flour ~ 1.5 Cups
  • 50 grams Sugar
  • 2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 2 tsp Ground Cinnamon Fresh Ground
  • 3 tbsp Apple Sauce
  • 2 Large Apples Peeled, Cored, Diced. (Granny Smith)
  • 80 ml Milk ~ 1/3 cup or ~85 grams
Glaze
  • 250 grams Powdered Sugar ~ 2 cups
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract

  • 1 Deep Skillet Skillet for frying (Chicken Fryer)

Method
 

Fritters
  1. Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in a medium bowl.
  2. Make a well in the center and add 1/3 cup milk, eggs, and applesauce.
  3. Stir to combine. Fold in apples.
  4. Heat 1 1/2 inches of oil in a heavy skillet, Dutch oven, or deep fryer to 375 degrees.
  5. Drop about 1/4 cup of batter per fritter into hot oil, spreading it out as you drop.
  6. Cook each side until golden brown; approximately 2 minutes per side.

Glaze
  1. Whisk together 1/4 cup milk, powdered sugar, and vanilla.
  2. Dunk each fritter in the glaze, turning over to ensure both sides are coated.
  3. Air Dry on wire racks
