Method
- Cook sweetened condensed milk, sugar, and butter in a saucepan over low heat until butter melts.
- Cook gently for 5-7 minutes until the mixture thickens
- Remove from heat, allow to cool slightly
- Stir in bourbon and vanilla extract
- This will thicken more as the sauce cools.

Just my basic caramel sauce, it can be thinned and used as a drizzle, or cooked slightly longer and used as a "frosting" for sticky / cinnamon buns.
