Citrus Ginger Tea

A citrus and herbal tea, with a long history in asian herbal medicine. Hot, soothing, and delicious

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups Water
  • 1/4 cup ginger grated
  • 2 ea Mayer Lemons Washed, sliced wafer thin
  • 3 ea Black Tea bags Good quaility stuff
  • Honey to taste
  • Bourbon to taste, Good, but not great stuff here.

Method
 

  1. add water, ginger, tea bags, and lemons to small saucepan
  2. Bring to a boil, and reduce to a simmer
  3. Simmer 3-5 minutes, depending on taste
  4. Strain into cups
  5. Add honey / bourbon to taste

Notes

Optionals
  • A stick of cinnamon
  • Sprigs of mint
Add to cups and strain tea into them
Once can also brew classic tea and add ginger slices to the pot.
