Oven Fried Mushrooms

Baked Mushrooms, with a crisy garlic and parmesan crust. Serve with some spicy chutney, or ranch dressing, and you have the perfect snack

Ingredients
  

  • 20-24 ea Mixed Mushrooms Cleaned and dried
  • 2 tbsp Corn Starch
  • 1 oz Parmesan cheese grated fine
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp Herb Dried Parsley, Thyme
  • 2 cup Panko Bread Crumbs
  • 2 ea Egg Whites
  • 1/2 tsp Salt

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 450 Line a sheet pan with parchment paper
  • In a small bowl, mix panko, cheese, garlic, herbs, salt and pepper
  • In a another small bowl whisk egg whites with a tsp of water
  • Dip each mushroom in the egg thence roll in the panko mixture, cover thoroughly Place in sheetpan
  • Bake 10 - 15 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

Serve with Ranch, or Horseradish, or for an exotic flair, a spicy chutney.
